Actual The Society for Climate Change and Carbon Management Evaluated the Carbon Markets at ICCI 2011 The Society for Climate Change and Carbon Management (İDKY) organized a session titled "Carbon Markets and Ernission Trade in the Energy Sector" as part of ICCI 2011 that was held between 15-17 J une 2011. The session whereby the latest developments in the carbon markets were discussed was chaired by The Society for Climate Change and Carbon Management (İDKY) Secretary General Dr. Oğuz Can. During the session, The Societ)' for Climate Change and Carbon Management (İDKY) President M. Kemal Demirkol, made a presentation titled "Footprint calculation and Carbon Management" and Mavi Consultant Technical Manager Yağmur Karabulut made a presen_tation titled "Carbon Certifıcation for Hydroelectricity Power Plants and Wind Power Plants" while Iltekno Project Manager Derya Ozet presented information to the auclience about the issue of "Energy Generation from Biomass and Cogeneration/ Trigeneration" and Farız Taşdan, as the representative of Turkey at Future Camp presented information on "Impact of the Bylaw (prepared ) for Monitoring of Greenhouse Emissions on Ernission Reduction Certifıcation in Energy Effıciency Projects" and The Society for Climate Change and Carbon Management (İDKY) Vise President Gediz Kaya presented information to the audience about the issue of "Future of Climate Financing: Changes in the International Mechanisms and Scenarios for Market Players". Waste Management Strategies to be Brought to the Agenda at IWES 2011 As it is the case every year, the issues of following closely all kinds of developments and technological advancements in the fıeld of waste technologies, will be brought to the agenda at IWES 2011 this year as well. preparations are undeıway in full throttle for the event to be held bet:ween 2-3 November 2011. This year as well, the event will serve as a platform where the ali sector representatives related to waste management, parties that use waste management applications and suppliers, investors, decision makers, local and central governments, and representatives from acadernic institutions and public offıces. Summaries Climate Change Exhibition Will Meet its Visitors in Istanbul The Climate Change Exhibition that was visited by 237 thousand people in New York, will be held at Santralİstanbul between 4 October 2011 - 15 January 2012. The exhibition which will be hosting its guests at the main gallery of Santralİstanbul starting from 4 October 2011 under the sponsorship of Türk Telekom, was held for the fırst time in New York in 2009 by American Museum of Natura! History. Climate Change Exhibition that demonstrates, by means of interactive shows, the evolution of climate change using numerous elements of nature ranging from polar bears to dead corrals. The exhibition will be available for visit until 15 January 2015. Preparations Underway for "TÜYAK 2011 Fire and Safety Symposium and Exhibition" Countdown for TÜYAK. 2011 Fire and Safety Symposium and Exhibition has started. The event that will be held at Istanbul Yeşilköy WOW Center between 13-14 October 2011 will bring together the pioneers of the sector. Turkish Foundation and Society for Fire Protection - TÜYAK will be organizing TÜYAK 2011 Fire and Safety Symposium and Exh.ibition at Istanbul Yeşilköy WOW Center between 13-14 October 2011. The symposium which will be organized in cooperation witl1 Sektöre! Fuarcılık and will last for 2 days will comprise 10 concurrent sessions. Energy of the New Era was Discussed at the Energy Arena At the 13th International Energy Arena organized by Center for Strategic Technical & Econornic Research (STEAM), the recent developments of the energy sector were laid on the table. The meeting brought together prominent names.
