Actual The Giants of the Energy Sector Met in ICCI 201 2 ICCI 2012 - lnternational Energy and Environment Fair and Conference was held successfully this year for the 18th time in lstanbul Exhibition Center, on April 25th, 2 6 th and 27 th . Hosting 1 3 thousand visitors over three days, energy sector's current problems were discussed in the sessions and panels held throughout the event. lmportant declarations were made on energy policies of Turkey and the world. On the other hand, almost 300 companies, including the world giants, have had the opportunity of presenting their products and solutions in the exhibition halls. ıccı 2012 -the 18th lnternational Energy and Environment Fair and Conference, Turkey's most comprehensive energy organization was successfully completed with almost 13 thousand visitors over three days. During the organization, most important issues of the energy sector have been discussed in detail by the experts on the field. On the other hand, in the exhibition hall which hosted the world's most substantial energy firms, almost 300 companies had the opportunity to exhibit their products and solutions. Opened by the Turkish Minister of Energy and Natura! Resources, Mr. Taner Yıldız, ICCI 20 1 2 was attended by numerous important names such as Mr. Recai Kutan and Dr. Mehmet Hilmi Güler, the former Ministers of Energy and Natura! Resources, as well as Mr. Hasan Köktaş, Chairman of the Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EPDK), Mrs. Ümit Boyner, President of the Turkish lndustrialists and Business People Association (TUSIAD), Mr. Ömer Cihad Vardan, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the lndependent lndustrialists and Business People Association (MUSIAD), and Mr. Erol Kaya, the Head of the Environment Commission of the Turkish Grand National Assembly. Brining in the energy to Turkey's agenda by opening its gates on April the 25th for the 1 8th time, ıccı - the lnternational Energy and Environment Fair and Conference broke another new record by hosting 1 5 Summaries thousand visitors over three days. in 39 sessions and 7 panels, every detail of energy in Turkey's and the world's agenda were discussed. Besides the panels and the sessions held, ICCI 201 2 gathered four important names with the authorities of the sector. Sharing their views and opinions on the sector as guest speakers, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hasan Murat Mercan, Deputy Minister of Energy and Natura! Resources, Mr. Erol Kaya, the Head of the Environment Commission of the Turkish Grand National Assembly, Mr. Hüseyin Üzülmez, the Deputy Head of the lndustry, Commerce, Energy, Natura! Resources, lnformation and Technology Commission of the Turkish Grand National Assembly, and Dr. Fatih Birol, the Head Economist of the lnternational Energy Agency, were shown great interest by the participants and visitors. in the ICCI 201 2, where 302 participating firms, 149 of which were loca! and 1 53 were foreign, had the opportunity of exhibiting their products and services, the products and services were grouped as Electricity and Steam Generation, auxiliary systems for Electricity and Steam Generation, Electricity Transmission Systems, Project-Consultancy-Financing-Construction Services, Logistics and Energy Efficiency. in addition to fair and conference concept, 828 meetings that were initiated by ICCI organization for the first time in the world last year, were highly popular this year as well. By forming a platform for 828 meetings outside the fair and the congress, ICCI gave numerous firms from various countries to get together. At these meetings, held for creating new opportunities and collaborations between the firms, as well as increasing the commercial volumes, Turkish firms had the opportunity of meeting with foreign companies. 95 different companies from 20 countries, including Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, Jordan, Tunisia, Sweden, Ukraine, lraq, Egypt, Austria, China, Finland, the Netherlands, Pakistan, Poland, ltaly, Spain, Denmark, Afghanistan, Germany and Turkey held 828 meetings.
